Biography
Combining hi-energy psychedelia, progressive rock, and deep-fried funk, The Snozzberries deliver a powerhouse, genre-bending sonic journey. Since their formation in 2017, the band's infectious grooves have wowed crowds at events including Sweetwater 420 Festival, Resonance Music & Arts Festival, Warren Haynes Xmas Jam-By-Day, Dark Star's Pisgah Jubilee, and many more. The Snozzberries hosted official afterparties for The Disco Biscuits, Lotus and Papadosio. The band also tours extensively, mesmerizing audiences across the states with their esoteric fusion of old-school rock with modern psychedelia. The Snozzberries debut album “This Is Now” was recorded at Grammy award winning Echo Mountain Studios in Asheville, NC. The record was produced by Josh Blake, mastered by John Keane and features album artwork created by Josh Levy. It was released in April of 2020 during the height of the pandemic in an attempt to bring some joy into a stark and uncertain reality. Beyond the pandemic, 2020 was the year that almost destroyed The Snozzberries with the untimely passing of drummer Sean Mason. After many difficult talks, the band decided to push forward to honor the legacy of Mason, who always said "the band is bigger than any one of us." After taking some time off to pick up the pieces, The Snozzberries has started touring extensively in 2022 with their new lineup. The band is currently hard at work on their second full-length LP "Return" coming out 2023.
