Biography
Forming her passions at a young age, and having penned her thoughts to songs for over a decade, Lizzie's desire to express herself through music hasn’t faded. Finding influence in Wolf Alice, Beabadoobee, and Radiohead, she’s keen to blow the lid off any one sonic box. Now 23 years old, Esau has taken the industry by storm. Working with her live band, the North East talent has had a busy live schedule over the last twelve months. Establishing her sound with support slots for Baby Queen, The Amazons and Upsahl - as well as performing at festivals including BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend, 100above & more - Esau has cemented her name as one to keep an eye on. Ramping up her songwriting prowess with jealousy-fuelled cut ‘Shade of Green’, indie showstopper ‘The Enemy’ and the pensive and alternative ‘Bleak Sublime’, Lizzie continues to thrive and surprise with a rapidly-expanding discography. New songs produced with Catherine Marks (Foals, Wolf Alice, The Killers) promise to propel Lizzie’s music well into the New Year. With early support coming from the likes of BBC Introducing, Notion, Clash, and Dork, Esau is ready to grasp with guitar in hand, all that 2023 has to offer.
