Telling her truths through mellow, soul rich rhythms accompanied by cut throat couplets and double entendres, Kristie shares her bitter sweet life experiences of love, broken systems and perseverance. Kristie references the likes of Alicia Keys, Lana Del Ray and Jhene Aiko for her vocal influence whilst Wretch 32 and Ghetts influence her lyricism. “I admire the word play and I'm always learning, growing and evolving. I want people to see that in my music it’s not just love stories, it’s bigger than that.” Her first EP ’Green Street’ has accumulated over 70K streams independently being noted by Ear Milk, Conversations About Her and spun on The Scene, BBC London by Claira Hermet, SWU Bristol as well as landing Track of The Week for BBC Introducing. Following her EP, Kristie headlined the Hope and Anchor, Islington bringing special guest Nego True to perform their collaboration ‘Feel like Home’ following up with a second show on May 4th 2022 at Boxpark Shoreditch. Featuring with Roska on their single ‘I Know’ the track gained an audience in Japan as well as being included on over 2000 playlists including ‘You Can Do It’, ‘Monday Spin’ and being played on BBC Radio. Ending 2022 with studio time in The Red Room, Bermondsey (Skepta, J Hus, Lana Del Ray) courtesy of SNS community studio x Nike as well as beginning 2023 with support from Help Musicians, Kristie is set for an exciting year ahead.
