Biography
POLLYN IS DEAD! After 13 years. 3 albums, 1 EP, and multiple remix singles, the LA indie electronic trio consisting of Vocalist Genevieve Artadi, Guitarist Anthony Cava, and Producer Adam Jay Weissman has ended it all. While everyone has moved on to new and exciting projects, Pollyn wanted to release an Anthology collecting their favorite songs from their catalog. “FINDAWAY,” a brand new song recorded specifically for this release, is quintessential Pollyn. It features atmospheric synths, dusty drums, and melancholic vocals by Alexis Taylor from the band HOT CHIP. Recorded at the end of 2016, “FINDAWAY” was written by the band, with Alexis in mind as a duet between he and vocalist Genevieve Artadi. The Anthology will be released as a physical triple vinyl set, and as digital package on all the streaming services as well. Included as a download (and on streaming sites) is a bonus collection of remixes from some of the best electronic producers in the game - Moodymann, DJ Harvey, Nosaj Thing, and Matthew Herbert, just to name a few. Also included is a brand-new remix of “Liars Cheaters" by Dan the Automator that features rapper Del The Funky Homosapien.
