Biography
A country blues guitarist and singer, Little Miss Higgins (known to perform with her partner in music, Foy Taylor) was born in Alberta, Canada, and raised in Independence, KS. Her debut album, Cobbler Shop Sessions, was nominated for a Western Canadian Music Award in 2006, and that year she also won an IMA Vox Populi Award for the song "Ferry Boat Blues." Her follow-up, the Tim Williams-produced Junction City, was released in 2007. Over the course of her career, Little Miss Higgins has performed with such blues stars as Big Dave McLean, Corb Lund, and Suzie Vinnick. In 2008, Little Miss Higgins was nominated for a Juno Award -- Canada's national answer to the Grammys -- for Best Blues Album. ~ Chris True, Rovi
