Biography

WAYFARER is black metal of the American West. Founded in Colorado in 2011, the band paints a vicious and gritty soundtrack to a land turned to legend through brooding Americana and high plains black metal fury. In A Romance with Violence, their most fully realized effort to date, WAYFARER presents a searing silver-screen requiem for the myth of the West - which METAL HAMMER states "is a poignant and exhilarating affair that cements Wayfarer as one of American metal’s most vital current voices." The album is the band's fourth release, and second for Profound Lore Records. It follows in the heels of 2018's lauded World's Blood, which saw the band perform a visceral live show across North America and Europe - including appearances at ROADBURN, FIRE IN THE MOUNTAINS, and NORTHWEST TERRORFEST, and tours alongside acts such as Falls of Rauros, Inter Arma, Saor, Krallice and Primitive Man. With the release of "A ROMANCE WITH VIOLENCE", the band eyes a return to stages across the world as soon as live music is able to make its comeback.
