Biography

Dallas-based Folk Angel specialize in Christmas songs, issuing an annual holiday EP, a tradition that began in 2009. The band, Jeff Capps, Caleb Carruth, Hunter Hall and Isaac Wimberley brings an eclectic mix of banjo, Dobros, acoustic guitars, xylophones, keyboards, bells, and even musical saws to mostly traditional advent material, giving everything a pleasant and folky twist. Recording each year's installment in Carruth's basement studio, Folk Angel released their first full-length Christmas album, Comfort & Joy: Christmas Songs, Vol. 3, in 2013. ~ Steve Leggett, Rovi
