Biography
Born and raised in South Atlanta's historic Cleveland Avenue neighborhood, Akbar was introduced to the streets at inception. Akbar would later connect with the Rock Crew Clique, aka YSL. In the beginning of her career she formed a friendship with Young Thug, which led to the beginning of the boss-like bars to later follow. The self proclaimed Queen of Atlanta positions herself above the competition with her raw and rugged lyrics, unique style, and soulful approach to music. In 2020, Akbar V released her new single “Bitch Like Me," and a few other anthems like, "Always Be" and remixed Drake's take on Jay Z's 'Song Cry,' 'When To Say When.' Her forthcoming project entitled 'Coldest Summer II' will be a sequel to its predecessor, dropping Summer 2020. In the meantime, Akbar V releases singles weekly to put the world on notice that she's here to stay. Solidifying her industry career, Akbar landed collaborations with the likes of 21 Savage, K. Michelle, Trouble, Lil' Mo, Lil' Keed, Dave East and so many more - at a rapid pace. Her hard work paid off from landing a lead cast roll in the largest-watched franchise on television Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta to opening up on Lil Wayne's sold out 2019 Lil Weezymania. In recent news, Akbar has inked a deal with BluePrint Group becoming the First Lady of the label ready to set the tone and show what Akbar V is made of!
