Biography
Invisible Rainbows, the new album is OUT NOW! The rainbows we see appearing in the sky exist within us, and are wonderful. Roberto Cacciapaglia, Italian composer and pianist, was born in Milan on 28th December 1959. He received his diploma under the guidance of Bruno Bettinelli in composition from the Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi of Milan. He also studied electronic music and conducting. He worked at the RAI’s Studio of Musical Phonology (Italian State broadcasting company) and also collaborated with the National Research Council (CNR) of Pisa, studying computer applications in the field of music. He is a leading protagonist in the area of innovative music. By virtue of his style in music he integrates the classical tradition with electronic experimentalism. His long artistic collaboration with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra gave birth to “Quarto Tempo” (2007), “Canone degli Spazi” (2009), “Ten Directions” (2010). In 2014 he composed “Alphabet” (Decca Records), first performed at Royal Palace, Milan. “Tree of Life” (Believe – 2015) is the soundtrack to the Tree of Life, EXPO 2015 Milano – was performed with Teatro alla Scala Academy Orchestra. “Celebration Tour 2018” – launched in Moscow before travelling throughout Russia into Siberia, then Europe, America, China, and Istanbul. The concert at Carnegie Hall in New York was rated “Best Live Act 2019” by the Bluebird Reviews journal. The same year he recorded “Diapason” with the RPO at the Abbey Road Studio, London.
