Biography

Once upon a photograph This is a photograph of a moment in time. This is an album made up of moments of time, conversations in a kitchen. We met up a mountain in Kerry one day when the signal was rubbish. We agreed that we should pop over to the house and have a cup of tea and a chat. The tea and the chat turned into pen, paper and guitar, the paper turned into scratchy demos, the demos turned into a lyric sheet with photographs. We had written 12 songs, an album, 12 pritt stick photographs of moments of time past, present and… who knows? Rare it is to make something to just make something, to see it transcend over time from a piece of dust in the back closet of your memory to a whole world where eagles and doves can meet a flamenco dancer from Essex. Curiosity and character, stories found and stories lived and each moment leading to a place where we could break down the walls of a cement house and imagine the world we wanted to step into on the other side. There is nothing finite in music or stories. At their best they live thousands of lives. They look like different pictures in the hands of different homes and different hearts. We have created this from nothing other than a creative place and whatever way this album reaches the world we want to hold onto that. This album should be discovered by the world as if we have tripped across a box of photographs in the back of our closet we didn’t know was there.
