Biography
“Probably the biggest personality in Britain right now” – joe.co.uk “a nod to his London: one of diverse communities of colour and working class identities” – The Guardian “Big Narstie is an enigma; a force of nature that cannot be stopped.” – Manchester Evening News “He’s the Grime MC, agony-uncle, and online personality that speaks for a generation” – Crack Magazine Undoubtedly a fully fledged TV and entertainment star now thanks to his BAFTA, double RTS Award, Edinburgh TV Festival and National Reality TV Award winning The Big Narstie Show (Channel 4), currently preparing for season 4, Big Narstie has become a fixture on the nations’ TV screens. A groundbreaking hit, it increased youth and BAME figures by over 150% on Channel 4 and proved that people will watch TV if the content is of interest to them. It is sometimes forgotten that Big Narstie came up during the first wave of Grime and UK Hip Hop in the early 2000s, and has been with Dice Recordings (who also manage him) since the very start of his career. Collaborations with Craig David (the chart topping When The Bassline Drops), Ed Sheeran, Donae'O and Kurupt FM are the tip of the iceberg. He also brought the BDL (Base Defence League) into existence, a collective united by a desire to spread positivity and a new outlook on life.
