Biography
A multifaceted metal outfit hailing from New Hampshire, Transistor Transistor formed in 2001. The band was able to build up a strong fan base and critical following over the next few years, and by 2003 had toured and performed with such bands as Wolves, Light the Fuse and Run, and Hot Cross. After crisscrossing the United States and touring Europe in early 2004, Transistor Transistor had honed their chops sharp enough to warrant work on their first full-length effort. Although not their first recorded effort -- the band had appeared on (and won a modicum of respect for) a number of split releases as well as a handful of EPs -- the debut long-player Erase All Name and Likeness brought Transistor Transistor to a new level, leading to further touring and performances with the likes of Disfear and Converge, not to mention the need for an ever so short period of rest. In 2008, the band returned to the metal consciousness with its second -- and equally well-received -- album, Ruined Lives. ~ Chris True, Rovi
