Biography
For years, RAY GARRISON has been clear on what makes his sound unique. Responsible for writing and producing his entire body of work, and a specialist at bridging contrasting genres, GARRISON can hear something, understand what it is, and recreate certain details in an original way. Equipped with a pop sensibility, while simultaneously remaining heavy and nu-metal, Garrison has been compared to a young Trent Reznor. Already a successful DJ in the EDM world, Garrison’s remix of Katy Perry’s DARK HORSE garnered over 30 million streams between Soundcloud and YouTube. Garrison’s first, full-length solo album THE MORGUE will be unveiled further down the line in 2022, preceded by the release of several singles. One track of note, LEECHES, is ripe with a spacey, dream-like ambience intertwined with the opposing weight of heavy metal. While managing to create a distinctive, atmospheric take on hard rock and pop punk, the song is also electronic, post modern, and sounds like NOW. After writing the entirety of the instrumentation and programming the beats himself, Garrison then went into the studio with Keith Armstrong to assist with engineering, and his friends in CRAZYTOWN to join in on some input of THE MORGUE. With Garrison’s quest to manifest honest art and discover the truest path to his creative mind, his future stands to be not just insanely productive, but exponentially ingenious.
