Biography
The no-net hoops and empty pool scenes at 108 Projects in Orange, New Jersey led a young Dougie to hone his freestyle craft as his escape from the otherwise harsh realities of a project-life upbringing. Dougie F’s self-determination and hyper-focus led to organic Travi$ Scott and KYLE co-signs, whom he's now toured with and collaborated on tracks like the Complex, and XXL-applauded 'Homegirl.' Those moments were outrun by early props on tracks like 'Back Up On It' from dance-floor movers A-Trak and shakers Diplo, that literally spun Dougie F's rise in the now mainstream, then underground Jersey Club Scene. Then came Pitbull whom he met on the Billboard Top 40 chart with their single collaboration, 'On Purpose.' The rest is now history, but Dougie remains a Self Trained Aggressive and Assertive Global Grinder, most recently releasing his “Without A Smile” EP, featuring the lead single 'Training Day.' Highlighted within Spotify's New Music Friday and Most Necessary playlists among others, and publications such as Complex and Lyrical Lemonade, Training Day was inspired by the classic film starring Denzel Washington and released on Dougie's independent label, STRAGG Records.
