Biography
In an era of safe, algorithm-driven music London-based singer, songwriter and defiantly expressive pop practitioner Tiggi Hawke delivers rough edges, spiky surfaces and pointed lyricism that refuses to settle in quietly. Intricately produced and exquisitely written, her music is a bold reflection of the woman at the very heart of it all: bold, uncompromising, and impossible to ignore. Those in the know will already be aware that over the last few years this rising talent has steadily made a name for herself through critically acclaimed singles and EPs, racking up tens of millions of streams and gathering specialist and mainstream support from the likes of Radio 1, KISS, Spotify, Wonderland and Rollacoaster. There have been genre-hopping collaborations with the likes of Joel Adams, CLMD, Mike Mago, Junge Junge and more, and along the way Tiggi’s defined, embellished then redefined her own brand of rawly emotional, autobiographical electronic pop. Alongside her own project, some of her more recents co-writes include releases by Hugel, Alle Farben, The Him, Bruno Martini, Headhunterz, Yves V and FAST BOY. The release earlier this year of her fresh new single Giants was a huge statement of intent and saw Tiggi collaborating with producers Jaded, along with Sydney-born hotshot Mali-Koa. And for Tiggi there was only one title for her upcoming album: Ascension. "This whole album, for me, is an ascension. It's a lifting of my self. For myself.”
