Biography
Highlnd is the dark, yet impassioned electronic-pop project of Los Angeles native, Elliot Sorgen. With a myriad of musical experience, Highlnd utilizes diverse influences ranging from alternative rock to emo to pop, inspiring a unique mix of sounds throughout his productions. Through Highlnd’s blend of organic sounds, live instrumentation, sound design, and melodies, he presents unique pop-formatted but heavy hitting electronic records. Each of Highlnd’s productions manifests itself in a graceful and smooth composition, containing emotional verses and powerful choruses. Highlnd has received support from many major curators and labels including Trap Nation, Suicide Sheep, NCS, Proximity, and Monstercat and has also been featured on many Spotify editorial playlists like Trap Mojito, Pixel Garden, Bass Lounge, Friday Cratediggers and New Music Friday. He was named one of Your EDM’s “Top 40 Artists to Watch for 2021” and has definitely been living up to that title with performances at Nocturnal Wonderland, Beyond Wonderland PNW, and Lost In Dreams to kick off his venture into the realm of live music. Garnering support from the likes of Illenium, Alison Wonderland and Gryffin, Highlnd has a bright future ahead and he looks forward to kicking off 2022 with his debut EP on Lost In Dreams.
