Biography
Street Sects are an industrial duo from Austin, Texas consisting of vocalist Leo Ashline and multi-instrumentalist Shaun Ringsmuth. Referring to their sound as "sample driven punk," their music combines dense sound editing, harsh noise, jackhammer rhythms, and cathartic, nihilistic screaming. The duo formed in 2013, issued two self-released singles in 2014, and became fixtures of their city's noise scene. Street Sects' debut album, End Position, was recorded and mixed at Machines with Magnets in Providence, Rhode Island, and released by The Flenser in September of 2016. ~ Paul Simpson, Rovi
