Biography

Composer, songwriter, and professional troublemaker, Shauly helped spawn an intergenerational shift within the Jewish Ultra-orthodox and Hassidic communities around the world. Known for his controversial spoof songs like "I Wanna Be A Rabbi", "My Yellow Bus" by Yoely Lebovitz, and "Ushamni", Shauly was also reluctantly accepted into Hassidic mainstream media through mega-hits such as "A Pushita Yid", "A Git Vurt", and "Melech" by Lipa Schmeltzer; and "Git Morgen" by Michoel Schnitzler. Despite having left the ultra orthodox lifestyle over a decade ago, songs written by Shauly, such as "Binyan Adi Ad", are performed nightly at Hassidic weddings to this day.
