Biography
Jazz and Electronic Producer from Bristol mixing vintage, vaudeville vibes with down n dirty drum n bass. Already well-known on the REMIX scene as a remixer and VJ, MISTA TRICK is also the label-manager behind Brixton's club night SWING & BASS (at Hootananny) and it's spin-off label. His cheeky bootleg remixes of everything from Bing Crosby to Lily Allen have won him fans for both his DJ sets and his live band alike. Now he has signed his debut album to Brighton's This Is Freshly Squeezed with a record that will raise both eyebrows and stakes. Assembling a massive cast of collaborators they have penned a series of completely original but totally authentic-sounding vintage-style tracks which he has then treated as remix material. His trademark sound is taking it up a notch, with dancing feet rooted firmly in the Drum & Bass, Electro Swing and Jazz worlds. DO WHAT YOU DO was the first single from the album. A powerful mission statement with KATHIKA the front-woman from Slamboree... ABOUT TO BLOW followed with guests Blackout JA and Tenisha Edwards dropping festival vibes. DRIVE was next showing that the quality for keeps and upping the ante with a killer video ft. Elle & The Pocket Belles and a vintage Morris Minor. SHAMBALA was the final single to proceed the album and included a video shot at the festival from which the song takes it's name. We hope you enjoy the new album - YOU Mista Trick!
