沖縄県出身YASUとYUからなるボーカルデュオ。2003年より沖縄・北谷町にてストリートライブをスタート、翌年メジャーデビュー。ドラマ「ごくせん」の主題歌「NO MORE CRY」やアニメ「ONE PIECE」の主題歌「BRAND NEW WORLD」など様々な映画やCMなどにも多数起用される。また、2018年にはNHKみんなのうたにて「忘れないよ」がオンエアされ、その曲を含むアルバム「Late Summer」を2018年9月にリリース。数々のヒット曲を持ちながら今もなお進化を続けるボーカルデュオである。 D-51 is a vocal duo of YASU and YU from Okinawa, Japan. They started street performance in Chatan, Okinawa, from 2003 and made their major debut in the following year. Their songs have been used in many movies and TV advertisements. In particular, “NO MORE CRY” for the theme song of a drama, “Gokusen,” and “BRAND NEW WORLD” for the theme song of an anime, “ONE PIECE.” In addition, “Wasurenaiyo” (Will Never Forget) was aired on NHK’s TV program, “Minna no Uta" in 2018. This song is included in their latest album, “Late Summer,” which was released in September of that same year. With many of their hit songs, D-51 still continues to evolve!
