Biography

Reigning from Portland, ME, Katahdin is an up and coming hardcore band that cultivate their heavy sound from their northeastern culture. Formerly under the name Hallowell, Katahdin have come back with a refreshed identity and are bringing heavy-hitting tracks that push the bars of extreme music. The EP, No Longer Room For Us, was released in April 2021, accompanied by a full EP music video. Their newest single, "Sovereign of Pain" was released in early 2022, featuring Ethan Harrison of Great American Ghost. The track marks another stepping stone in style, paying homages to the pioneers of extreme music preceding the band. Katahdin brings the energy of a live show with blunt, hard hitting music, containing punishing guitar riffs and thunderous drums that will immerse the listener in a live band setting. Katahdin is vocalist / multi-instrumentalist Max Calkins and drummer Nick McGoldrick.
