她说，写的每一首歌，是向宇宙发出的一封信。 她对音乐的坚持，是希望能伴你走过人生的起落，及喜怒哀乐，悲欢离合。 她的音乐有一种悲伤，却包含无限的希望。 Serene Koong 龚芝怡 is a bilingual singer, songwriter and producer from Singapore who has been acclaimed with 9 major industry awards including the Asian Academy Creative Awards, Singapore Hit Awards and the Global Chinese Golden Chart Awards. In 2013, she took on the role of producer for her music with her single “幸福不难” that she also wrote and performed, which would become the multi-award winning theme song the blockbuster drama series ‘The Dream Makers 志在四方”. The song catapulted to huge success, and she gained prominence commercially and critically with her portfolio of works which have been featured on television and film such as Mediacorp’s “KIN”, “Slow Dancing” and “The Dream Makers 2” and has established herself as one of the notable female producers and singer-songwriters in Singapore. In 2022, she titled her sold out concert “亲爱的你 Letters To You”, symbolic of her music journey where she described how journals of love, life and relationships take shape in every song she has written, each like a personal letter to her listeners. This has defined her identity as an artist and shaped her music, evident in works such as “当世界只剩下我一个人” and “When It Leads Me Back To You”. Serene has also played an active role in nurturing younger artists, as mentor to the Top 20 finalists on the Mediacorp talent competition SpopSing!
