Biography

Andrew Tan is a Malaysian singer, who loves music and singing since he was young, and was exposed to the music from worldwide; he once described himself as “herbivore of music” influenced by the versatile and vast multi-cultural music exposure in Malaysia. Andrew won a second place in the Malaysian singing competition “ASTRO Star Quest” in 2006, got a chance to represent Malaysia to participate in the 25th “TVB International Chinese New Talent Singing Championship”, and received the most honorable award “金麥克風獎” which made his official debut. Andrew earned much recognition for his vocal capabilities during his career. His deep and husky voice made one of the favorite performers for events and live shows. In 2012, he received“Hito潛力男聲獎” and launched his first concert in 2013. In 2017,《好愛好散 Blue Love Theme》won “Hito Music Award 年度男K歌獎”. In 2021, Andrew will be releasing 7th album “唯一想了解的人”. This is his second time producing his own album since“天后”. He invested a lot of time into the music productions to fully express his concept of understanding someone truly and deeply through various angles such as self-love, empathy, forgiveness, cherishing the value of love through hard experiences. The music style is very diverse including R&B, rock, EDM, urban, his signature ballads and so much more, which help strengthens the story and concepts he wants to express. Andrew will lead the listeners into exploring emotions and life through the aspect of a “musical photographer”.
