Biography
Boasting a sense of hope rivaled only by the size of their hooks, LAST NIGHT SAVED MY LIFE know life’s too short to play sad music. That perseverance has paid off for the band –vocalist Wilson Shaner, guitarist Riley Hupfer, guitarist Justin Burns, drummer Eric Cousins, and bassist Ryne Weber – as they’ve since become one of the brightest up-and-coming acts in the pop-punk genre, praised by outlets like Alternative Press, Kerrang, and Substream and seen on stages with the likes of Neck Deep and State Champs and as part of 2019’s Sad Summer Festival. Their 2019 self-released debut LP, Cherry, and follow-up singles “Caffeine Company” and “Limitless” showcase LNSML’s undeniable sound, rooted in the urgency of the underground with a few left turns, as they sidestep typical genre tropes with unexpected influences like the wistful nostalgia of country music and more introspective lyrical inspirations. They’ve certainly delivered that in spades – not only on Cherry, but on their forthcoming pair of EP’s, set for release in late 2021 and early 2022. The Cherry production team of Seth Henderson (Knuckle Puck, Real Friends) and State Champs frontman Derek DiScanio have once again returned, elevating songs like singles “Buzzing” and “Black Dress” with a swirling mix of taut musical backbones and pop charm. -Evan Lucy
