New sound, sophisticated songwriting, stylish clip; Nick Mellow ignites the next step in his career with his new single "Goodbye". Mellow wrote the song together with his producer Tom Oehler (Nemo, Marius Baer, Luca Hänni) and American songwriter Michelle Leonard, who already was responsible for hits by Nico Santos (Rooftops) or Aurora (Running with the wolfs). “Since my producer ended his relationship a few days before our appointment, it was an extremely emotional songwriting session that turned into a kind of therapy session. The story, the feelings surrounding this song came so authentically and directly that all we really had to do was write it down," says Nick Mellow, describing the process of creating the song. However, «Goodbye» is not meant to be a «break-up» song. Rather, the title gives courage to accept change in life as an opportunity. "There's a hell in hello and a good in goodbye" is what the chorus says symbolically. «The music and the production came about very intuitively. The song and its arrangement had to be given the right intensity and urgency. We worked with a lot of electric guitars and rock elements. A fresh new sound was created», explains Nick Mellow. "Goodbye" is the first single taken from Nick Mellow's upcoming EP, which will follow on August 19, 2022.
