Biography
Swiss-based pop/punk/rock duo IKAN HYU have been wowing festival crowds with vivacious performances, headlining countless live shows from Germany to Indonesia, supporting acts like Royal Blood and Sofi Tukker, as well as playing festivals like Fusion, Eurosonic, Reeperbahn and c/o Pop. Brimming with energy and defiant messages, IKAN HYU’s 2022 releases demonstrate an uncompromising attitude, with loud lyrics sure to catch the attention of audiences. With Anisa’s Flying V on one side, Hannah’s electronic/acoustic drum hybrid on the other and a synth bass in between, they create the sound of a 22nd century rock duo while making some serious noise! . IKAN HYU borrows from various styles of music, including Hyper Pop, Garage Rock, Alternative Rock, Electro Pop, Synth Pop, Alternative Hip Hop, Dance Pop and Electro Punk; creating a one-of-a-kind mixture that brings about comparisons to The Ting Tings, Icona Pop, Jack White, Rage Against The Machine, Die Antwoord and M.I.A..
