    American rapper Sherwood Marty delivers his gritty rhymes with a raw but fluid flow. Like YoungBoy Never Broke Again and Kevin Gates, Marty hails from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He debuted in 2016 with the mixtape Stuck in the Trenches: Self Made, Vol. 1, home to the track "Everything." His audience grew the next year with the release of the underground hit "Sherwood Baby," an ode to his namesake hometown neighborhood. He followed with "SOS (Smashed on Sight)" and "Suicide," signing with 300 Entertainment before the end of the year.
