Biography
Amelia Day is trying to sound professional and write in third-person so you'll take her very seriously. Hopefully it's working! Amelia is a Seattle-based singer/songwriter studying at Vanderbilt University in Nashville. Recently, she has been seen at Washington venues like Tacoma's "Spanish Ballroom" and "TAG" Festival, and Nashville's "The Basement" and "The East Room." Amelia writes and performs music in the Indie/Jazz/Folk vein and just released her debut EP, "Eastward of Eden," this past fall! Amelia grew up on Folk and Rock greats like Simon & Garfunkel, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Elton John, and (of course) The Beatles, but has since branched out into artists like Father John Misty, Bon Iver, Vulfpeck, Beatenberg, and Pomplamoose, all of whom have influenced her unique writing style. She is constantly listening to new musicians and always finds inspiration in the rich artistic community of the PNW. For inquiries: ameliahdaymusic@gmail.com
