Biography

Maria-Therese has been writing and singing since the age of 9, touching on themes such as mental health and self love. From the Toronto suburbs of Brampton, she brings a blanket of sultry R&B vibes with a dash of Soul and Alternative in a refreshing tone. She released her first single “Throes of Love” back in 2020 which touches on the vulnerability of first love and giving yourself to someone when it isn’t quite reciprocated and expressing the raw emotions of being a women and the frustrations that follow. Not afraid to speak about her journey and story, her music is relatable and welcomes the listener into a safe space. Maria is apart of Toronto Music Collective: From The Ends, otherwise known as “FTE” and with that she is ready to speak her truth and explore the world through her music. Maria just released her debut EP For The Soul on November 30th, 2021. Her project deals with trauma and finding oneself through the process of healing. The lead single Home speaks on the struggle of feeling as if you’re not enough. In your own body but also your environment/home. We hope people find it constructive and enlightening.
