Biography
J.K. began singing at school in her native Krakow and then turned PRO in a Rock trio. She defines herself as a perfectionist person. Her name was chosen in a nice way: "We were looking for something short and catchy. J.K.! It's easy for people to remember!” explains Marta Simlat, the front-girl of the dance project conceived by Alfredo Larry Pignagnoli with Davide Riva. The debut single You Make Me Feel Good was immediately a chart success in Europe, Canada, and all over the world. Its song chorus was covered in 1994 on Feel Alright by JV Project. The follow-up Beat It and the classic Italo track You & I - an instant hit - were released with many powerful remixes. You & I peaked #3 in Israel, and thanks to its incredible success in France, J.K. appeared on the cover of The Dance Machine Compilation. In 1996 the fourth My Radio was released with a Eurodance Mix and a Disco Version inspired by the 70’s. It took Europe by storm and opened up the Japanese market. Afterwards, an explosive Megamix was released. After Sweet Lady Night - accompanied by a glamorous video - fans waited for her return until 1998, with the astonishing Go On. A year later she came back with Deep In The Night. In 2011 came out Make Me Feel, a brand new track with trance vibes - the same genre chosen for the next Hit My Heart in 2012. Both songs was also recorded by Dhany for the Benassi Bros project with excellent results. J.K. definitive album, The Story of You And I - is finally out now!
