Biography

Houis (pronounced “weece”) is a French-American producer based in NYC. Influenced by artists such as Bonobo and Tom Misch, his distinct R&B lofi sound has evolved to include elements of a newer indie/house aesthetic. As both a visual and sound artist, Houis displays a dexterity between visual aesthetics and his music which alludes to a wide range of ever-evolving skill. His debut album “Outgrown” perfectly depicts the full range of his musical convictions, from UKG inspired lo-fi instrumentals, 80’s leaning indie-pop Open & Repeat w. Emmett Kai , to soulful offerings with international guest features such as Daydreamin' w. Blush'ko . “Outgrown” is expected to release early 2023 via Berlin based label Lekker Collective: artist radio / lekker collective
