Biography
Whether through lush tracks, layered with strings and synthesizers, or through simple piano/vocal arrangements, Cindy Morgan and Jeremy Bose have been making music together under the name St. Lola in the Fields for over a decade. In the studio, the two professional songwriters combine their very disparate musical histories. Cindy grew up listening to and singing the mountain music in the hollers of Eastern Kentucky, (often with her mom, Lola), and Jeremy was raised on the High Plains in South Dakota, soaking in the classical music on public radio (a favorite ensemble was from St. Martin-in-the-Fields). You can see where our name comes from! Having written and produced for artists like Vince Gill, Uncle Kracker, Ingrid Michaelson, India Arie, Joy Williams, and many others, Morgan and Bose needed an outlet for a different kind of music, and St. Lola in the Fields became that outlet. Tracks from their first album “High Atop The Houses And The Towns” found their way to shows like “One Tree Hill” and “Pretty Little Liars”. The band is currently on new music—SCAR and TOUCH being the first two releases with more to come.
