Biography
Following on from the notable success of 2022's 'UnMute' e.p. - Ekko Park storm into 2023 with the new single 'Outrun the Rain'. From the driving opening beat to the multi-vocal crescendo, Outrun the Rain captures Ekko Park's powerful live energy and builds to reveal the band at their most exciting, anthemic best. 'Outrun the Rain' is the first single from the forthcoming e.p.'Let's Talk Last Night... The End Of The World' Frontman Joe Walsh explains, 'This was one of the first songs we wrote with Jessie after she joined the band in late 2021. Jessie brought a whole new flavour to the songwriting & we enjoyed playing with the fact that we had 3 lead vocalists in the band. This song takes us on pathways we haven't ventured before... and it's track one of some of our most exciting music to date'. Ekko Park have been nominated for Best Rock Artist in both the 2014 and 2021 Aotearoa Music Awards. Their last full length album, 2020's Horizon, featured the smash single All Eyes On Me - featuring guest vocalist Grant Nicholas of Welsh Indie Rock giants Feeder. Their longevity stems from their own flavour of anthemic & melodic rock that has seen them touring across Europe (Italy, UK & Ireland) & extensively throughout New Zealand. They've played major festivals (Rhythm & Vines, Homegrown) and numerous high profile support slots opening for the likes of The Charlatans (UK), Simple Plan (Canada), You Am I & The Living End (Australia), Seether (South Africa) and Roxette (Sweden)
