Biography
Dead Favours are an alternative rock group from Auckland, New Zealand. Formed in 2016 by drummer Charlie Smith and vocalist Jared Wrennall, previously the drummer for the Grammy nominated band Steriogram. The band is made up of Jared Wrennall (vocals/guitar), Kyle Wetton (guitar), Charlie Smith (drums) and most recently the addition of Alex Elvis (also known for his work fronting Kiwi Rock Act Skinny Hobos) on bass guitar. The band have achieved a lot in a short time; having just taken out the award for Best Rock Act at the 2021 Aotearoa Music Awards they have also worked with a number of notable producers including Tom Larkin of Shihad and Chris Mac of Six60 and shared the stage with the likes of Royal Blood, Wolfmother, Rise Against and Halestorm, along with a string of notable kiwi acts. The band have just announce a 7 date New Zealand tour to celebrate the realise of Riffing & Yelling Part 2, that is being released on March 31st 2023.
