Biography
Shrewsbury, UK’s The Losing Score owes their career to a trip to the bench. Lead vocalist/guitarist Brodie Normandin and drummer/backing vocalist Jack Smith met while they were both nursing broken toes during a P.E. class rugby match during their first year of secondary school. (If you’re American and reading this, the two of them were in the seventh grade, a prime age to begin bonding over the Foo Fighters.) In the lull between adopting their band name in 2015 and writing original music in 2018, The Losing Score befriended Callum McIntyre, who rounded out the group on bass. It’s now 2022. The Losing Score won, with expectations zero. The lads graduated, spent three years honing their live set, opened for their U.S. idols Prince Daddy & the Hyena and Oso Oso and, despite the 2020-2021 shutdown, nearly tripled their bank of proper tunes. Pieced together over a confusing period and through revisiting old song sketches, their Counter Intuitive-minted debut LP Learn to Let This Go upgrades their brand of self-aware pop punk to dazzle a new crop of listeners stateside. - James Cassar DEBUT ALBUM 'Learn To Let This Go' OUT NOW ON COUNTER INTUITIVE RECORDS Brodie - Guitar & Vocals Cal Mac - Bass Jack - Drums/Backing Vocals Booking: thelosingscore@hotmail.com
