    GOT the beat is the first unit of the new concept girl group project “Girls On Top (GOT)” that introduces new units created for specific themes and genres combining members from SM’s female artist roster. Featuring seven members from groups that represent all generations of K-pop including BoA, Girls’ Generation’s TAEYEON and HYOYEON, Red Velvet’s SEULGI and WENDY, and aespa’s KARINA and WINTER, GOT the beat officially debuted at ‘SMTOWN LIVE 2022 : SMCU EXPRESS@KWANGYA,’ a record-breaking online concert that was streamed globally for free on New Year’s Eve where they performed their 1st single ‘Step Back’ for the first time. An addictive hip-hop R&B song that highlights the members’ strong vocals, ‘Step Back’ received explosive response from fans worldwide for showcasing the group’s powerful synergy and performance skills.
