Biography

After Dark is a non-themed, all-gender a cappella group from Washington University in St. Louis. Since our founding in 2001, After Dark has performed everywhere from our home at WashU to Disney World, at concerts, weddings, parties, and even the news! We even put on our very own concert every semester and compete almost every year at ICCA, where we have received accolades such as Best Choreography in the Midwestern Quarterfinals in 2013, Third place in 2018 and Fourth place in 2020. What really makes After Dark is our members. Some of us have been singing since the day we were born while some of us just started singing. Outside of our group, some of us have experience with choir, opera, jazz bands, rock bands, musical theatre – you name it! We all bring something unique to the group that contributes to so many special arrangements, sets, and performances. But, no matter what our interests are, we all have one very special thing in common: our love of music.
