Biography
Based out of Columbus, Ohio, experimental pop band Way Yes began in the early part of 2010 as a collaboration between Glenn Davis and Travis Hall. They were soon joined by multi-instrumentalist Maxwell Lewis (Max Deadroom) and drummer Timothy Horak. The band soon cultivated a richly eclectic sample-based pop sound that drew from the blissful, trippy energy of Animal Collective the avant experimentalism of The Books, and the solid tropical pop hooks of Vampire Weekend. They released the Herringbone EP in 2010, following the next year with both the Oranjudio 7" and Walkability EP. Tog Pebbles, their first proper album, was released in 2013 on Lefse Records. In 2017 they released their sophomore album, Tuna Hair on Gold Robot Records. ~ Fred Thomas, Rovi
