Biography
For 21 years, Marc With a C was a persona portrayed by Marc Sirdoreus, bridging the gap between analog and digital worlds, growing away from arrested development in public, and using low fidelity pop music as the primary medium for communication. In Phase One, Marc With a C became known for his outspoken passion of vinyl records and his quirky music, which set teen angst, relationship turmoils and 21st century frustrations to his bubblegum-pop-meets-college-radio jangle pop style. As of January 2021, the day after releasing the seminal “low fidelity (or “how i spent the nervous breakdown”), the persona was retired, which had been planned for over a decade. Marc began his “intermission”, which was initially designed as a break, but a mere coincidence saw him using the time to battle a host of illnesses, one being cancer. Phase Two of Marc With a C will see Marc Sirdoreus being himself on record for the very first time, only using the stage name. His only plans for live performances are virtual for the foreseeable future, and don’t expect too many interviews, if any. The music is unlike anything Marc has ever done, and this oncoming phase also sees a once-highly DIY artist doing what no one saw coming: teaming up with Needlejuice Records, home of Lemon Demon, many King Gizzard releases, MC Lars, Nuclear Bubble Wrap, and more. For the first time, Marc Sirdoreus is working without a script. The snarky attitude is probably going to stick around, at least for a little bit.
