Biography

The Mayflies USA are one of the more pop-oriented bands to emerge from the buzzing, trendy Chapel Hill, North Carolina scene in the 1990s. After The Mayflies USA EP in 1997, they released their first full-length, Summertown, in early 1999, which was produced by North Carolina alt-pop legend Chris Stamey. The Pity List followed in fall 2000. The band's third album, Walking in a Straight Line, was recorded in Chicago with Keith Cleversley (The Flaming Lips, Mercury Rev) and released in 2002.
