Biography

Niuver, a native of the Cuban village of Bolondron, grew up playing classical guitar and lute around the island. With dreams of going to America, she met an American lawyer who discovered her while playing in a small club in Havana. She asked for help to move to the USA, where her sister had escaped when Niuver was just four years old. But the political situation between the two countries would not allow it. Niuver went to Spain to tour, where she fell in love with a French engineer, moved to France, learned French, got married, and became a French citizen.   In 2012, Niuver released Trasnochando, an album of songs in French and Spanish, on Sony France. The song C'est toi que j'aime received six months of airplay on France Inter (a French national radio station) and had a career she had only dreamed of back in Cuba. Excited about her good fortune, Niuver reconnected with the American lawyer who introduced her to an American music company, Invasion Group, which connected “C’est toi que j’aime” with placements in the American TV programs Franklin and Bash and Whiskey Cavalier.  Niuver recently left France to tour with the famous Guatemalan singer Ricardo Arjona which allowed her to get an artist visa and stay in the United States, where she finally attained her dream of living in America. She settled in Miami and gave birth to her son Andreas.
