Biography
Born and raised in Dumaguete City, Kyle Juliano started singing at six years old, spending his childhood learning the guitar and piano all by himself. He often sang in various events around the city, and in 2007, he became a finalist in the classical singing category of the prestigious NAMCYA contest for young Filipino artists. His first big break came on December 2016, when he covered James Arthur's Say You Won't Let Go. His acoustic take on the song became a viral video on Facebook, making him an instant online sensation. The video also caught the attention of the label Universal Records Philippines, where he signed to as a recording artist in 2017. Kyle's first performance on national television came on July 2017, when he sang on the program ASAP with Piolo Pascual. There, he performed his debut single Malapit Pa Rin, a song he first recorded with his erstwhile band The Chill Pills. Upon the song's release under Universal on August 2017, it peaked at Number 10 on Spotify's Viral 50 Philippines chart. His other singles Sundo, Crashing, and Nadarang - Campfire Mix soon followed; the successes of these songs on Spotify earned him the title of Universal Records' "Spotify Sensation." On September 28, 2018, he released his first self-titled EP, which includes his own composition Huwag Ka Lang Lumayo and Ay'Na Ko'G Labda, a nod to his Bisaya roots.
