Biography

Sekumpulan Orang Gila (SOG), a rising six-piece band bonded by their passion of modern rock music, was brought into the music world in the midst of 2009 founded at the heart of Malaysia itself, Kuala Lumpur. The passion has driven SOG founders; Nazrin & Adek, to further expand their influence by utilizing their musical knowledge gained from their music school (UiTM). Into which, this allowed for them to experiment and implement other forms and sources of various melodies into their music such as Indian, Arabic with hints of traditional rhythms. Thus makes for an acquiescent band, able to commend to all types of genre conventions including orchestral components, ranging from baroque to the elements of romanticism. With the successful fluidity of this musical flow from the band, they have made a unique image of their own inclusive in performance. With their own flavour of musicality, this has allowed for the band to achieve many of a collection of awards and achievements which are very well deserved of their music. One out of many and most recent awards are the Globe Silver Award from the World Media Festival 2016 at Hamburg, Germany as well as the Anugerah Industri Muzik 22 (AIM22) for Best Album Cover (Bahtera album).
