in very brief terms i am a folky-rock asian-americana-pop tiedye-birkenstock culturally-confused cowboy-to-be //// Chance Emerson is a 23-year-old Taiwanese-American singer-songwriter from Hong Kong based in Providence, RI. Blending heartfelt folky stomp-and-holler with modern pop sensibilities, Chance and his straw cowboy hat write happy-sad music for people who feel lots of emotions. With his five-piece live band, Emerson has shared the stage with national acts such as the Eli Young Band, Lawrence, Ripe, Darlingside, Nancy Wilson of Heart, Mike Campbell & The Dirty Knobs, and more. Chance was most recently on tour with Blues Traveler.
