Biography
Z-FLO is a Comedy/Rap artist with over 300 Million streams across the web. Born and raised in Greenville, MS, he started writing poetry at age 7, then learned how to play the keyboard by ear at age 10 prior to merging the two talents. At age 19, he created a music video ad and entered it into the 2010 GoDaddy Summer Edition Commercial Contest, which won him a total of $75,000. In 2011, he began working on feature films and Reality TV as a cameraman and has worked on over 100 TV shows/films to date. In 2012, Z-FLO won Grand Prize in the Songdoor International Songwriting Competition with a suicide-prevention song titled "Maybe". In 2014, Z-FLO opened up his own record label, and created a controversial project called the “No Offense” EP, where he satirically challenged perspectives on race stereotypes with humorous songs and animated music videos. His first song on the project, “The Black People Song”, had over 60 Million views before it was taken down by Youtube and Spotify, along with The White People Song. Eventually, the entire "No Offense" EP was banned by both Youtube and Spotify. In 2020, Z-FLO won the John Lennon "Stay At Home" Songwriting Competition with his track, "The Coronavirus Song". After years of a hiatus, his most recent return to music was marked by the release of two new songs, "Shit Got Damn" and "What I Really Wanna Say", which went viral on Tiktok and Instagram respectively.
