Biography

Becoming best friends in high school and forming a band soon after, Berlin-natives Niklas Gantenberg, Freddie Brown, and Adama Cefalu created Prismala, joined in 2022 by bassist Leon Oranian. Bred in the Berlin music scene, the band combines their collective different musical backgrounds into a spectrum of genres, moods and styles. Following the singles, 'Miss Interpretation', 'Detox' and 'Addington Square', Prismala released their full length album 'It Gets Weirder' on 9 June 2023. The 12-track long player shows the band's perception of the current world while dealing with changes in their personal lives, amongst much more. In honour of the release, Prismala played the album in full with the help of many friends and guest musicians at an exclusive and one-of-a-kind release show in Berlin's renowned Renaissance Theatre in Berlin on Saturday, 17 June. A little moment in history, as the concert is remembered to be the first of its kind in the over 100 years, that the theatre has existed.
