Biography
Connecticut power/thrash metal group Sacred Oath has had more attention and greater output since their reformation in 2005 than when they were originally formed in 1985. Mercenary Records released their debut "A Crystal Vision" in 1988, garnering cult-classic album status among the international underground circuit, but the band would break up that same year due to creative differences. Over a decade later Sentinel Steel Records reissued the album in 2001 which led to the band reforming, re-recording most of the songs from their debut as well as some new tracks for 2005’s “A Crystal Revision”. Singer/guitarist Rob Thorne and drummer Kenny ‘Thundarr’ Evans continued to record under the SACRED OATH name with guitarist Bill Smith and bassist Brendan Kelleher. The critically acclaimed “Darkness Visible” was released in 2007, followed by 6 more studio albums, two live albums, and a ‘best of’. In 2017 the band brought Damiano Christian on as third guitarist during the Twelve Bells at Midnight Tour and he makes his debut with the band as an official member on "Return Of The Dragon."
