Biography

Founded in 2007, Austrian extreme metal outfit Asphagor has developed into a recognizable brand and live – powerhouse, especially in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The five current lineup members from different musical backgrounds and influences make for a unique blend of black, death and progressive metal elements. Never limited by genre customs yet firmly rooted in rock’n roll. A unique art style approach incorporating stage builds and lighting concepts have followed each of the past three studio releases. The band prides itself on the in-house design of all artwork and merchandise. Signed with Black Sunset/MDD for the incumbent long player ‘The Cleansing’, Asphagor has finished production on the upcoming release and is looking forward to a release the next album including a fresh look and exciting new material on MDD records.
