Defacing God is a 5-piece Dark Melodic Death Metal band, hailing from Aalborg, placed in the dark north of Denmark. The band is influenced by the rich Scandinavian metal traditions, balancing between great melodies and ferocious in your-face-death metal, with inspiration from witchery, the occult and the obscure. ‘’Feel my desire, step into the circle of fire. I created all the sorrow and every sin. With pale black eyes, veins filled with damnation, returns the lady of death and sin, ruler of the underworld. When you hear the babies cryin’ when the mothers die in vain, I have left my mark upon them. Feel my rage, kiss the blade, fire wasn’t the answer, now you all shall kneel or suffocate’’ - Defacing God is based on the story of Lilith, first of all witches. The Rituals Defacing God brings you, is the ultimate resurrection and revenge. Defacing God is founded and fronted by Sandie Gjørtz and when she goes on stage, her body becomes possesed by Lilith, who uses her body as a portal to the world of the living, so she can return and take her revenge. Defacing God was founded back in 2015 and since then, they have been through some line-up changes, due to some musical differences and visions for the band. Defacing God gives you well-written darkned Scandinavian death metal, personified through the easily recognizable guitar leads and highly inducing headbanging parts, mixed with small elements from black metal.
