Biography

Known to never shy away from a difficult subject nor genre, Swedish artist and producer Jenny Wilson has formed a career covering one controversial theme after another, all the while re-inventing her musical style. From indie pop stardom as a singer/guitarist in FIRST FLOOR POWER, through solo albums dealing with childhood trauma, motherhood, cancer and sexual assault, to making ”erotic horror ambient” with her partner in the duo DRIFTEN, Wilson has gained a reputation as the queen of the fearless. In the same vein, her music has drawn inspiration from everything between gospel and Kraftwerk. Her collaborators include The Knife, Robyn, Hans Ek, Kira Skov/John Parish, El Perro del Mar and Nicole Sabouné, just to name a few. Her seventh album, MÄSTERVERKET - the second in Swedish - is produced by Wilson and Martin Thulin (Anika, Exploded View, Los Fancy Free) and will be released October the 1st on Gold Medal Recordings.
